Today’s show features Tony Fletcher. Tony grew up in London and started a fanzine called Jamming featuring interviews with artists like R.E.M, Paul Weller and The Jam, The Smiths, and Echo and The Bunnymen, among many others. Moving to New York City in the late eighties, Tony was a pioneer in bringing alternative music into the New York club scene and to date has written nine books including well known biographies of Keith Moon, The Clash, R.E.M, and Wilson Pickett, to name just a few.
